The Garden Edit
Things grown slowly, tended often, and used with intention.
Rooted in Memory, Grown at Home
Where It Started
Gardening has always been part of my life. Some of my earliest memories live in the backyard. Tomato vines heavy with fruit, cucumbers tucked under broad leaves, herbs brushing your hands as you passed by. One summer, my grandpa handed me a tomato hornworm he’d found on his plants, to me this was a new summer pet, to him a great way to rid his plants from pest.
The LEGACY continues
My grandpa was the one who started the garden, and he still tends his own to this day. He’s the kind of person who shares articles about tomato plants and gardening news, always learning, always paying attention. My mom is the one who has carried the tradition forward at home for more than a decade, keeping our summers full of tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, and more than we could ever eat at once. Watching her tend the garden taught me that growing food is less about control and more about consistency. You show up, you care for it, and you let it become what it’s meant to be.
What I Grow Now
In my own home, my garden looks a little different. I focus on herbs I actually use. The ones that end up in everyday cooking, steeped into teas, tucked into jars, or used in quieter, more ritual moments. Rosemary, thyme, mint, basil. Plants that feel practical and a little witchy at the same time. Alongside them are a few well-loved houseplants, chosen less for perfection and more for how they live in the space.
How This Edit Came Together
This Garden Edit is a collection of the tools, vessels, and essentials we actually use. Practical things that last. Items that make tending plants feel calm instead of complicated. Whether you’re growing a full backyard garden or a small kitchen window collection, these are pieces meant to support the habit, not overwhelm it. Nothing here is rushed. Gardens rarely are.
For The Garden That Feeds You
These are the practical tools used for growing vegetables the way they’re meant to be grown. Simple, well-made essentials that make tending the garden feel steady and familiar, season after season.
Herbs for Cooking, Brewing, & Quiet Magic
This is where the garden becomes personal. Herbs grown for everyday meals, warm mugs of tea, small rituals, and the slower moments that happen close to the kitchen window.
